Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How will massage benefit me?
Some benefits include (but not limited too)
Relieve muscle tension
Reduce stress
Nervous system Regulation
Improve Circulation and Lymphatic flow
Improve muscle tone
Improve mental health - Relaxing
Improve posture
Reduce aches, pains and time to recover from injury
Reduce toxins in the body
Q: How do I know if you can help?
A: I am fully qualified and insured for a number of different treatments and my membership to the FHT requires that I maintain and update my skills through Continuous Professional Development (CPD) The treatment I offer will be customised for you and discussed over the phone initially to decide if massage is a treatment that would benefit you. The consultation is completely free to you with never any obligation to make a booking.
Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: Simply get in touch by calling 07538 278 454. Or a text messageWhatsApp. I also have a presence on a number of social media platforms. But I still struggle to get to grips with technology at times :-)
I will then contact you to discuss what it is you're looking for and arrange a free consultation - this is a short medical form for you to complete in your own time.
I will review your answers to formulate your personal treatment plan. If we're both happy to proceed we arrange a mutual time for the appointment.
Q: Where will the treatment take place?
A: I can offer:
Mobile treatments (where I visit you in your home). Occasionally, this is a preferred option if you have mobility issues or it may help you to relax and feel safe . Particularly for a first appointment. It is an important part of my work that all clients feel as safe enough to let go of any tension they may be carrying. I do charge an additional fee for this service as it involves travel costs and increased time.
A dedicated safe space in my home in Scholes, Cleckheaton.
Q: How long will my treatment take?
A: This depends on the consultation and areas to be treated. Usually a full body massage lasts at least 60 mins. Anything less than that and the treatment may be compromised. I never rush a treatment and neither would I ever massage a single area for too long as this can cause discomfort and it is counter productive. I usually sugggest allowing 90 minutes for the full body appointment.
Q: Will I need to undress?
A: Not necessarily, depending on the area being treated. I use bath sheets at all times to prevent oil from getting on your clothes. You can wear as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. My only requirement is that the massage oil can penetrate the skin of the area being treated (whilst not staining your clothing)
Q: How do I know I can I trust you?
A: I understand that booking a treatment with a complete stranger can be very daunting. Trust is vital between any therapist and their clients.
I am a full member of Federation of Holistic Therapist (FHT) and adhere to their code of conduct and professional practice in order to maintain my membership. I am also enhanced DBS checked and I am happily married with a family. I love what I do and would never do anything to jeopardise that nor my personal and professional reputation.
Q: Do you have any reviews/testimonials that I can read?
A: Yes of course - We all need to be sure who we're hiring. I have my reviews on Google, so please feel free to check those out. They are all from genuine clients. I aim for 5 stars with every treatment so you can be re-assured that its in my interest as well as yours to deliver a high quality treatment.
Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: Sometimes, yes, I need to cover my cost of training, insurance, travel costs but I do have a loyalty scheme however for repeat clients and I sometimes offer promotions to new and existing clients through newsletter subscribers who sign up to my mailing list.
Q: I have a medical condition. Do you treat my condition?
A: Probably. I have treated a number of medical conditions. Every condition and every person is different. Through careful planning and consultation with you, together we will work to get the maximum benefit from a massage.
